Setting it up

How do I set it up?
Stand it on a table, a shelf or the floor, plug the power cable into the wall and point it at a plain wall. Switch it on and it focuses and squares the picture by itself in about 2 seconds. Join your Wi-Fi when it asks, sign in to your apps, and you are watching. Most people are done in a few minutes.
How far from the wall does it need to be?
About 7 ft for an 80-inch picture, 8.9 ft for 100 inches and 10.6 ft for 120 inches. It works well anywhere from 40 to 150 inches. To make the picture smaller without moving the projector, use the digital zoom in Settings, Projection settings, Digital scaling.
Does it focus and square the picture by itself?
Yes. Autofocus and auto keystone run every time you switch it on or move it, and take about 2 seconds. If a shelf or a picture frame is in the way, it moves the picture off it. You can also focus by hand with the focus buttons on the remote, and adjust the corners in Settings, Projection settings, Manual keystone.
Can I watch on the ceiling?
Yes. The stand turns all the way around and tilts straight up, so the picture lands on the ceiling above your bed. It squares the picture up there too. The stand comes off if you would rather sit the projector flat on a shelf.
Do I need a screen?
No. Any plain, light colored wall works well, and so does a white sheet pulled tight. A screen gives a slightly brighter, more even picture, but most owners use a wall.
Which plug does it come with?
The power cable comes with a US plug. It goes straight into the wall, with no power brick, and it needs no adapter.

Watching and listening

Is it bright enough with the lights on?
It has 650 ANSI lumens in its brightest mode. That gives a 100-inch picture in a dim room or after dusk, and an 80-inch picture with a lamp on. It is not a daytime TV in a sunny room: close the curtains, or wait for the evening.
Does Netflix work? Which streaming apps can I use?
The surest way is to plug any streaming stick (Fire TV Stick, Roku or Chromecast) into the HDMI port. Every app then runs exactly as it does on your TV, Netflix included. YouTube and other apps also install from the app store built into the projector, and you can cast from your phone.
Can I mirror my phone or laptop?
Yes, over Wi-Fi with no cable. iPhones, iPads and Macs use AirPlay. Many other phones and Windows laptops use Miracast, and some apps send to it over DLNA. Put both on the same Wi-Fi network first. Some streaming apps block mirroring, and a streaming stick in the HDMI port gets around that.
How is the sound?
The built-in stereo speakers are fine for the bedroom. For the living room or the backyard, pair a soundbar, a speaker or headphones over Bluetooth 5.4 in Settings, Bluetooth, Available devices, or plug into the 3.5 mm audio out.
Can I plug in a game console, a laptop or a USB drive?
Yes. A console, a laptop or a streaming stick goes into the HDMI port. Movies and photos play from a USB drive. It plays files up to 8K and shows them in native 1080p.
Will it work in the backyard?
Yes, once the sun is down. Hang a white sheet on the fence or use a plain outside wall, start the movie after dusk, and pair a Bluetooth speaker. It runs from a wall outlet, so use an outdoor extension cord, and bring it back indoors when you are done.
Is the fan loud?
It has a fan to keep the light cool, like every projector, and you can hear it in a silent room. Once a movie is playing, most people stop noticing it. Headphones or a soundbar over Bluetooth bring the sound closer to you.

Orders and delivery

How fast will it arrive?
Fast. Delivery is free and tracked from our US warehouse, and the tracking number is emailed the moment your package ships. The exact timings are on the shipping policy page.
Where do I track my order?
On the track order page, with the number from your shipping email. The first scan can take a little while to appear after the email.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, if it has not shipped. Email support@shopcineva.com with CANCEL and your order number in the subject as soon as you can. If it has already left, keep the delivery and use the 60-night guarantee instead. You lose nothing.
My address is wrong.
Email support@shopcineva.com right away with the order number and the correct address. It can be changed any time before it ships. Once a package is moving it cannot be redirected, but if it comes back you get it resent or refunded.

The 60-night guarantee

How does the 60-night guarantee work?
Use it at home for up to 60 days from the day it is delivered. If it is not what you hoped, or you simply change your mind, email support@shopcineva.com with your order number. You get return instructions, then a full refund to the original payment method, with no restocking fee and no store credit unless you ask for it.
Who pays the return postage?
If the projector is faulty or does not do what the product page says, the return is covered and you get every cent back. If you have changed your mind, you cover the return shipping. You are told the cost before you decide.
Does it have to be unused, or in the box?
It can be used; that is the point of the guarantee. Please keep the box for the 60 days, because a projector travels badly without it.
How fast is the refund?
You get a confirmation as soon as the package arrives back, and the money goes back to your original payment method right after that. How fast it shows depends on your bank.

The 2-year warranty

What does the warranty cover?
The projector, the light source, the fan, the board and the remote, for 2 years from the day it arrives. If it stops working in normal home use, you get it repaired or replaced, free. You do not need to register anything. Your order email is enough.
How do I make a claim?
Email support@shopcineva.com with a photo or a short video of the fault and your order number. Most claims are settled from that message alone. If the projector needs to come back, the label is sent to you and the shipping is covered.
What is not covered?
Accidental damage, such as a drop or a spilled drink, rain on a projector left outside, and commercial use. A scuffed case is not a fault; a light that will not come on is.
Can I extend the warranty?
Yes. Cineva 5-Year Protection, offered at checkout, extends the 2-year warranty to five years: the projector, the light source, the fan, the board and the remote. It covers faults, not accidental damage, and it is a one-time payment.

Payment

What can I pay with?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay, through a secure checkout. Your card number is never seen or stored by Cineva.
When am I charged?
The full amount is taken when you order, not when it ships. There are no surcharges after checkout.
